ABOUT CLIMATOLOGICAL SECTION:

Climatology Section(CS), is the nodal unit of Meteorological  Centre (MC), HYDERABAD that undertakes the Climatological  practices and is the sole custodian of  meteorological data pertaining to Telangana and  Adhra Pradesh states.

The major activities of  CS are: 

• Collection of Meteorological Data from 17 Departmental Observatories and 12 Non-Departmental Observatories.
• Scrutiny of above data and Tabulation of Autographic charts.
• Electronic Data entry, Verification and Dissemination of Data to National Data Centre, Pune.
• Archival and storage of hard and soft copies of data
• Data supply to various users as per their demand.
